people hold the pen
ai drafts, accelerates, and proposes. it never gets the final say. authorship and accountability rest with us — everything ships because a person read it, judged it, and chose it. the direction comes from our own questions, not the model's.
assume it's in the work
we don't treat ai as an exception to flag on every line. assume it touched most of what we make — research, prototypes, words, images. we disclose where attribution actually affects trust or authorship, not as theater. on this site specifically: the writing is ours, with ai as editor and sparring partner; the cover art and figures are generated, then curated by hand.
your data stays yours
we don't feed sensitive client, team, or personal data into ai tools without consent and a clear understanding of where it goes. this follows el salvador's data-protection law — decreto 144 (2024): consent first, your rights to access, correct, and delete, and care with how data moves. privacy is the default, not a setting you have to find.
originality is a human add
generated assets get human curation, editing, and intent before they count as ours. we avoid outputs that copy or imitate copyrighted or culturally specific work without understanding where it came from. ai output is raw material — not the finished thing.
aligned with el salvador's ai law
capslock is a salvadoran company — capslock s.a.s. de c.v. — and we build under el salvador's ai law, decreto 234 (2025), and its principles: transparency, equity and non-discrimination, security, and privacy. we hold our use of these tools to that standard, alongside the country's broader push to build technology responsibly.
we won't delegate curiosity
ai is fast at answers. it's no substitute for the harder questions — what's worth building, who it's for, what it might break. those stay ours. the tools assist the journey; the direction is human.
